2011 Trek Superfly 100 (Gary Fisher Collection)

Trek's all-carbon Superfly 100 is the ultimate 29er with 100mm of rear travel at a hardtail weight. The Superfly’s monocoque carbon frame is incredibly light and stiff and features G2 Geometry with a custom, G2-specific Fox F29 fork to give you control on descents, power on climbs, as well as super-quick handling and snappy steering. More control comes from the shortened wheelbase; it all delivers a bike that retains all the big-wheeled benefits of 29ers and none of their drawbacks. Plus, the Superfly is adorned with a solidly light parts package, including Bonty's Race Lite wheels, 10-speed SRAM X-9 shifting and ultra-powerful Avid Elixir discs.

Comments:

I just purchased the bike a week ago and have already logged over 100 miles on it. I felt comfortable immediately and took very little effort to get the adjustments and settings right for me. I was riding a 2009 Top Fuel prior to this and I have to say that the SF100 is a much faster and more comfortable overall bike.At the time of purchase, I upgraded the components to XO and the wheels to Race X Lites. Dropped almost 2lbs. This thing is a rocket that flies over everthing in its path. The only bummer is the rear suspension has developed a slight creak noise. Im looking for a remedy but that wont keep me from enjoying this machine. I absolutely love it.

    Comments:

I have purchased Gary Fisher bikes for the past 10 years and have had 3 29ers and this bike is by far the best bike I have ever ridden/raced (2011 Superfly 100 Elite). Its super fast and I have upgraded everything except the frame and its lighter than most 26er race bikes. The rear end is very stiff compared to previous years. I weigh over 200 pounds and I have destroyed other 29ers. Not this baby. Best money ever spent on a bike.
